N-Sights for July 2012

LET THE SUNSHINE IN!

“In every life we have some trouble
When you worry you make it double
Don't worry, be happy......”
                                                      

This excerpt from the 1988 popular song by Bobby McFerrin, Jr. makes an appropriate theme song not only for our month of July 2012 but also an ongoing motto as we continue our life journey.

This month we are transiting the Universal Number Three – the number of joy, optimism and creative expression.  Although all numbers have a polarity of desirable and opposing characteristics connected to them, the Number Three is one that I regard in its highest potential as being the “goodie” number, the one that is the icing on the cake. 

The color associated with Three is yellow, the color of sunlight.  Thus, it is an especially good month to focus on developing and maintaining a “sunny”, optimistic attitude, even if the events of your life seem to be on the gloomy side.  If you’re like me, you’re receiving multiple messages from spiritual sages telling us that it’s time to choose to be happy regardless of what is going on in our physical, 3-D world.  And practicing being happy “no matter what” can be easier with Three’s energy vibrating throughout this July. 

 

Accompanying Three this month we have first of all, the Seven, the month number for July which corresponds with spiritual quests, seeking answers, rest and recuperation, as well as communion with nature and environments with water and/or

mountains.

Our Universal Year number of Five invites us to reinvent ourselves and seek out new horizons and unconventional pathways.

WHAT THIS COMBINATION OF NUMBER VIBRATIONS MIGHT MEAN FOR YOU....

First and foremost, for almost everyone, this is NOT the month to get down to work with your career, your finances, your housekeeping, your diet, your fitness, or any other kind of routine maintenance.  July (at least in the Northern hemisphere) is typically a vacation month anyway.  (Calendar-wise, it’s always a Seven month.) 

This is a time to be lazy, introspective, and/or creative and social.  Travel to new destinations, pamper yourself, read a book, plan fun events with friends and loved ones, indulge your inner child, dance, play music, laugh, play with children and pets or – just chill out as much as you can.  The Three, the Seven and the Five are numbers that encourage us to “do our own thing” when and where we want to.  So you have my permission to cut yourself some slack this month and get by with the minimum effort you need to meet your ongoing responsibilities.  Instead, tune in to your heartspace and indulge in whatever “treats” your heart tells you will bring you joy.

The above is especially true if there are life circumstances that are in any way troubling.  It is during these times that we are most in need of having our spirits lifted – and doing so often gives us the stamina, insights and optimism to master our challenges.

MERCURY RETROGRADE ARRIVES AGAIN!

There’s another equally valid reason to step back from our routines and projects this month:  the planet Mercury officially goes retrograde from July 14th through August 7th.  We will be feeling the effects of this retrograde period as early as the first of the month as the transition begins.

Because of the Three, Seven and Five vibrations in play, I predict that Mercury is likely to offer more pranks and glitches affecting travel, electronics and communication than we would normally find during other Mercury retrograde time periods.  ---All the more reason we should strive to master accepting the “what is” of things and keep our sense of humor alive. 

In addition, astrologers tell us that during a Mercury retrograde period we are better off revising and finishing projects already underway than beginning anything new.  To take a constructive stance, a Mercury retrograde time period can be productive for inner work, evaluating what’s working in your life and what is not.

MASTERY STRATEGIES FOR JULY

These behaviors, which always hold us in good stead, are especially appropriate to assist us in transiting the energies of July:

• Keep your thoughts positive.  
• Practice gratitude and focus on seeing  your glass as half full.
• Make a point to surround yourself with  positive, upbeat, fun-loving people. 
• Tune out negative people and criticism – as well as any
  negative self-talk that crops up.
• Schedule time to do your “favorite things”, whatever they may be.
• Seek out uplifting “good news” and laughter on a daily basis.

Optimism never goes out of style.  "See the light", smile and have a happy July.

HARNESS THE POWER OF THE GODDESS

What can we expect in the way of Universal energies this month of June 2012?  Imagine that there is a beautiful goddess guiding you to create more peace, love and harmony in your life.  What does she look like?  What is she wearing?  What does she advise you to do? 

This month we have the greatly magnified energy of the Divine feminine  available for all of us to access.  This beautiful vibration can assist us to make improvements in our lives that can take us to the new destinations we seek.  That’s because the dominant Universal energy for June is Two, the number of our millennium and the number of female energy. 

What does this mean for you?  Each one of us is traveling our own individual path as well as the collective journey.  The energy of the goddess is one that we can call on to create life changes that can bring us beauty, harmonious relationships and inner peace if we know how to harness “goddess power” in a constructive way.

For many of us, relationship issues will be priority.  That’s because we are not only in a Universal Two Month ( when partnerships are in the spotlight,) it is also the month of June.  What’s so special about June you ask?  It’s no accident that June triggers thoughts of brides and wedding bells.  June is the Sixth month of the year.  The number Six stands for romantic love,  and in traditional Tarot cards, Six is the number of “the lovers.”.  So expect issues of romantic partnering to be what many are likely to experience beyond what would be average happenstance.  

And – for those of you who love cosmic coincidences as much as I do (everything’s connected!), here are some more…..Astrologers tell us that Venus (the goddess of love and beauty) is retrograde this month, forcing us to analyze our partnerships and find the course corrections and healing that will bring closure or resolution to past heartbreak. 

One astrology resource mentions that the forthcoming June 4th lunar eclipse followed on June 5th by a rare Venus transit across the face of the sun was viewed by the ancient Mayans as a sign of the ancient goddess power reawakening on the planet.  (This transit will not occur again until 2117!)

In addition, the sun is in the sign of Gemini, the twins, symbols of duality --and there’s that number Two again!  So, it seems, that this month we will  be reexamining the relationships in our lives, romantic and otherwise, past and present, and seeking guidance to heal our hurts and go forward being able to open ourselves to more love and nourishment in the relationships we choose.

Although healing romantic issues may be the major issue for many, I believe that all types of relationships are likely to be tested during this month.  This is not necessarily a bad thing if we consider that it’s an opportune time to figure out what’s not working and make the appropriate changes  -- and only you will know what changes are appropriate for you personally.  Some will be called to end their relationships and others will renegotiate and strengthen theirs.  Tune in to your heart space, and you’ll know the choice that’s best for you.

Legal issues and settlements are another strong possibility for many this month along with buying and selling of property, career changes and moving to a new residence.  The Number Two encourages justice and fairness which, of course, is what we universally seek in any kind of negotiation and resolution.

Regardless of what is happening in your life, here are some “quick tips” for creating happy outcomes. When the Two vibration is dominant, all of us can find that we are more sensitive to slights and criticism and/or quick to respond to upsets with heightened emotions.  Whether you are male or female, you can use goddess energy to bring peace and calm to any situation if you remember to:

 Use tact and diplomacy in all your dealings.

 Seek fair and just outcomes.

 Be kind and considerate. 

 Be non-judgmental.

 Be forgiving.

 Be accepting of all that happens that is beyond your control.

 Know that any losses can open the door to future gain.

 Tune in to your intuition to guide you to choices you are confronting.

 Send love to every person and situation that you find
 challenging or annoying.

N-Sights for May 2012

INITIATE CHANGE

“If you’re still looking for a happy ending, I suggest you start looking for a new beginning.”        Anonymous                                

Well, here we are at a “new beginning” month!  May 2012 is a Number One Universal Month in a Five Universal Year. 

Each year we transit a Universal One Month (sometimes more than once) which supports us in making new starts collectively.  What is significant for this May is that we are in a Five Universal Year signaling change and rebirth, and May is referred to as “Five” when we write the month using numbers only.  So all three numbers influencing us this month are unanimous in pointing us to new horizons.

Although each one of you reading this is in the middle of transiting your own personal number cycles, we have received a collective call that the signal flag has been lowered, and we are out of the starting gate and onto the speedway beginning our new journey.

One thing to bear in mind:  In our continuing journey through our lives, One is just the beginning.  It reflects a starting point, like the start of chapter one in a book.   This chapter will not be complete until next September when we transit a Five Universal Month in a Five Universal Year.  This means that things begun now are more likely to rev up and become fully activated in September.

Whenever I write about the number One, I find that there is less to say about this number’s possibilities.  Look at the number.  “One” is a straight vertical line.  It is the most uncomplicated of all the numbers. It is a number that initiates and activates – but we need other numbers to direct us to achieving the results we seek.

If you have One or Five strong in your personal numerology chart as a core number, cycle number or birthday number – or if you are transiting a One or Five Personal Year, the impact of the Number One is more likely to affect your life directly at this time.

Bear in mind that the overall energies of One and Five are strong and volatile as last month’s numbers were as well.  Therefore, even if you feel you are confronted by the equivalent of gale-force winds, it is all that more important to be cautious and prudent when taking action on the affairs over which you do have control.  One and Five can make us want to act impulsively and often without thinking things through.  Be sure that all changes are thought out in advance.  Review your plans with others for possible flaws.

One and Five can change your life overnight with sudden events that are unanticipated.  In this case, your only option is to go with the flow and trust that you are being directed to new situations that are healthier for you  -- or life lessons that (in retrospect) you will come to understand and value.

Remember, you are at the start of the race, and in this one, the tortoise can have an advantage over the hare.  Listen to your heart, and you’ll be told where to head and how to get there.  Be sure to go at your own pace (unless the reins of your chariot are attached to wild stallions.)  In that case, just hang on and pray!

LET YOUR LIFE BLOOM AND MAKE TIME FOR THE ROSES!

Astrologers tell us we began a new astrological year as the sun entered the sign of Aries on March 20th.  In the Northern Hemisphere the solstice just ushered in the beginning of Spring.  So is the science of numbers in sync with this cycle of new beginnings?

Actually – the answer is – not quite – at least not this year.  You’ll have to wait until 2013 for this to happen.  But this is a very powerful and fertile time for us to create new lives for ourselves filled with passion and beauty -- even if we have yet to be able to envision all the details and know how they will come about.   I’ve chosen a rose theme for this month in keeping with our Nine Universal Month and symbolizing the magnificence we all possess when we allow our true nature to unfurl to its highest potential.

In the cycle of Universal numbers,  the arrival of April signals the beginning of the end – not in apocalyptic terms, but in terms of April being a Nine Universal Month and therefore a month of closure and endings.  As we travel through the month, we are being prepared for a new cycle to begin in May.

As April is our fourth month of the calendar year, and we are in a Five Universal Year ( 2 + 0 + 1 + 2  = 5), we are influenced by the sum of these two numbers:  4 + 5  =  9.  We can also look at the word symbolism for the two numbers.  Four symbolizes structure.  Five symbolizes change.  Thus we can see that with the two numbers combined, we receive a message of “change in structure”.  Each one of you is going through your own personal energy transits; however, collectively, we are going through a time of shifts and endings this month which will culminate with us all in the driver’s seat ready to begin a new journey when May comes around.

As Five is considered a number of potential volatility and Nine is “endings”, we may see a number of “changes in structure” for our Earth and our environments this month.  Earth changes are ongoing, but this year particularly, we may see an even higher number of them.  On the other hand, if you are looking to change the structure of your own life, your timing couldn’t be more perfect!

COMPLETE YOUR PROJECTS
LET GO OF THAT WHICH DOESN’T SERVE YOU

This is a month to finish projects, and clear the debris out of your life literally and figuratively.  If this sounds like dreary work, it needn’t be if you focus on the vision of the new things you'd like to introduce into your life and what a good feeling it's going to be to clear out the things that are drains on your energy and well being.

MOURN YOUR LOSSES AND LET GO

You may also find that people and possessions leave your life on their own.  I recently had to say good-bye to two favorite things that had been part of my life for a very long time:  a fused glass butterfly necklace that I had received as a gift and worn as a talisman for years suddenly got shattered.  My beloved bracelet watch that I’d had for 25 years suddenly disappeared due to a suspected defective clasp.   I know that even if I’m unable to duplicate these items, that I can now anticipate the fun of seeking out replacements. –And I also sent prayers that my watch would end up with a new owner who would enjoy it as much as I did.

PEOPLE FROM YOUR PAST MAY REAPPEAR

Nine connects us with our past.  I just heard from a high school classmate that I had last seen at our graduation more years ago than I will reveal.  She mentioned that there was going to be a reunion lunch for all from our class who (unknown to me previously) were now living in Arizona.  Coincidence or not, it appears that I’ll be connecting with my past this month.   It can also be an opportune time to seek out someone from your past with whom you'd like to reconnect.

GIVE AND RECEIVE

Nine is a number that symbolizes Universal love.  It is a number of philanthropy and generosity.  In addition to asking us to give from our hearts to the people and causes we believe in, Nine also asks us to receive with gratitude and offers us unexpected blessings, often in the way of gifts and good fortune.

                                                                            

SUPPORT THE ARTS

Treat yourself to an art exhibit, museum, play or concert.  Nine is aligned with beauty and the arts.  It’s an ideal time to allow your soul to be uplifted through the visual arts, drama or music or revisiting the past at a museum.

Forgiveness rituals are always therapeutic and can be especially  appropriate now.

GRATITUDE

In the everyday hustle and bustle of our lives, we often neglect to give thanks for all the blessings and conveniences that make our lives easier throughout each of our  days.  This message is a little reminder to stop and give thanks for all the good in your life and extend appreciation to all the people who make your life brighter.  They will be grateful for your words!

EXPRESS YOUR TRUTH -- TRANSFORM YOUR LIFE!

In this year of change, March beckons to us to find creative changes and solutions to the challenges in our lives, especially through allowing the Light to illuminate and express the Truth of our being.

There are three dominant number vibrations that we journey through this month:

THREE  --  March is the third month of the year.  Three invites us to express   ourselves, apply our creative skills,  and to spread   sunshine and light to others.  Three can also  be associated with good luck and   prosperity.

FIVE  -  Our Universal Year Number is Five.   We are in a year that supports new beginnings and progressive changes that break  with tradition.

EIGHT  -  The Universal Month Number is Eight.   Eight signals  tests of mastery, especially with regard to developing our courage,  strength and management of material resources.  It is also  a number that symbolizes   truth and justice and which rules  inheritance  and legal settlements.

If we examine all three of the above numbers as a unit and attempt an optimistic interpretation, we can come up with “Embracing our passions.  Progress with life mastery. A fortunate and possibly unexpected change in the flow of material abundance”.  Who is going to object to this type of occurrence?

Of course, as everything has a polarity, we can intuit the opposite happening:  “Overindulgence in the good things of life.  Sudden change of fortune with loss of material supply.”

Either way, I believe it is important to view the vibrations of March as being very auspicious.  Even if there is loss, this can set the stage and create the space for something even better to arrive in your life. As an aside, I will mention that if you have any tendency to addictions or cravings, be aware that you may be even more tempted this month.  I write this as I reach for another piece of chocolate – my weakness – that may be more than what is healthy for my body! 

As I’ve noted in previous forecasts, Eight on its side is the infinity symbol.  Everything is in a state of constant flow.  What goes around, comes around.  What is lost is restored.  It is especially important to be optimistic this month! 

 

As Eight is a number symbolizing judgment, this also applies to “self-judgment.”  Thus, this month is especially good timing to confront and master the truth of who you are.  In other words, as we are in a time when we are “seeing the Light” and allowing ourselves and our lives to be more light-filled, allowing yourself to own the full truth of your identity can bring miracles to you and your life.

Last fall, well known author, columnist and life coach, Martha Beck, advised Oprah’s Lifeclass audience to determine and confess the one thing they had kept hidden in their lives that they had the most shame or guilt about.  She went on to state that admiting and healing the emotion around this one issue would be amazingly therapeutic and life-changing.

If any of you reading this find this advice intriguing and choose to apply it to your own life, this is the month to do so.  You may find yourself in a process of mastery that liberates you to achieve much more of what you dream of in life.  Go for it!  ….And let the power of Eight  be the wind at your back!

WHERE DO WE GO FROM HERE?

Some of you inquired about why I discontinued my tradition of offering  personalized written forecasts at the start of the new year.  The truth of the matter is that my heart was not in it – and, in offering my services, I choose to offer only the types of programs that I enjoy researching and compiling.  This year I felt an energy shift that told me that there was more value in each one of us becoming empowered to create our own futures as we desire them to be.

Do any of the rest of you sense that we are in a new time/place/space?  Do you feel as I do that what we’ve always done isn’t going to cut it any more?

The good news is, if you follow any of the spiritual leaders that I do, we now have the opportunity to more consciously create our reality in a way that brings us love, health, peace, joy, financial freedom and matching lifestyles free of past stresses, lack, fears, guilt and shame.

However, the question I ask is:  Are we immediately able to procure all the good things of life that are supposedly easier to access?

Personally, I don’t think so.  I believe it is absolutely possible to dramatically improve the quality of our lives much more quickly and easily than in the past.  However, I think we have to learn how to do the “conscious creating”.  If it is true that we are now being “rewired” to access higher wisdom and manifesting skills, then I believe we have to learn how to use our new equipment.  Just as toddlers learn to walk with a number of tumbles before they truly get the hang of it and graduate to running, skipping, hopping and jumping, we need to learn how to develop our potential for mastering manifesting.

February 2012 is a Universal Seven month.  As Seven is the number of envisioning, it stands to reason that we are supported this month in figuring out what it is that we actually desire to create.   This is not a month of action as much as it is a month of preparation.  There will be big opportunities for change for all of us arriving at the end of April and the beginning of May and continuing through September and October.  So are you ready to get ready?

For many of you, this can be an excellent month for a ‘life review” –   setting aside time for envisioning yourself in your “ideal” life with regard to health, career or path of service, relationships, money, home, recreation and spirituality. 

An exercise that can help you claify your goals, if you are called to do it, is the following:  Set aside a piece of paper for each life category listed in the previous paragraph.  Divide each piece of paper into two columns.   On the left column of the paper, write at the top “Ideal for Me”;  at the top of the right column write “Current Reality for Me”.  Then assess how far away you are from achieving your aspirations.  Who knows?  You might find that for some of the categories you are actually where you want to be!  --Or at least closer than you thought.

Next, determine what might be standing in the way of your achieving your ideal circumstances.  This can be tricky because…if you are like most people, you inherited and/or acquired behavior patterns, beliefs and fears that stand between you and having what you want.  If you write that it's "lack of money" that prevents you from having what you desire, this can be one of your "false beliefs" even if your bank account balance is exceedingly low.

Fortunately, at this point in time, there is much support from many different resources that can assist you in accessing and overcoming the “hidden barriers” to your living a life that brings you not only contentment but also allows you to fulfill your highest potentials during your soul journey in human form on the planet.

Am I offering you “solutions” in this article?  No – I am not…However, I am envisioning ways that we can support each other in learning how to overcome past programming and blocks and use our new manifesting equipment for our empowerment and mastery. I have some ideas that you will be hearing about.  And, by the way, as a “student  of life”, I’m going to be doing my own list.  Shall we compare notes down the road?  Stay tuned!

Guess what?  Five is the number of unpredictability!

For any of you who think you've been stuck in a rut, be prepared for this phase of your life to end.

Or.. do you choose to take advantage of what can be an auspicious time to take action to manifest change in your life?  Five supports optimism and courage as well as timidity and fear.  Personally, I believe that if you are motivated to make changes that are authentic and from your heart, Five supports you in achieving your goals.  Even in the case of so-called "negative" events, we all know of countless times these have ended up being a catalyst and blessing in disguise for those who encounter them.

You have all year to change, so don't think you have to do

Universal Month.  It can be a good time to initiate changes that increase your well being.  These can include:

--Changing, improving, or leaving relationships, be they

family or romantic.

--Taking steps to improve your health.

--  Legal matters, especially regarding relationships.

Some critical steps involved in making your desired

changes include:

--Determining and defining what outcomes you desire.

--Defining the steps and strategy that can take you to

your desired outcomes.

--Uncovering what, if anything, is blocking you from taking action and/or having what you want.  (This can be your most critical challenge to master, especially if there are subconscious programs and belief systems in place that you are not aware of.)

--Finding methods to remove all the obstacles in your way, both external and internal.

However daunting your path may seem, remember, this year the wind is more likely to be at your back.  -- And don't forget to enjoy your journey.  It can end up being as much fun as your destination!
