N-Sights for August 2011

TIME OUT! LET THE LOVE AND SUNSHINE IN!

This month our dominant Personal Month number is Three, the number of optimism, creative expression, laughter and play. At least these are the characteristics that can be considered among the most positive and uplifting for the number Three.

This is the only month of 2011 when Three makes its appearance – and it shows up right smack dab in the midst of two “heavyweight” numbers -- Four, our Universal Year number – and Eight, our calendar month number for August. In a traditional numerology context, Four and Eight are essentially all about work and money, along with keep your nose to the grindstone and get the job done and no monkey business directives.

Three arriving in the midst of these very serious, labor intensive numbers is like bringing a group of lively three-year old children to the office the day the company bigwigs have set aside to evaluate and revamp their corporate financial structure. What a set of opposing energies!

What’s to be done? If you ignore the children, everyone’s going to get cranky. Maybe it’s time to just take time out, lighten up, play and laugh.

…That’s what I’m recommending for you at any rate. The energies of September promise to be intense. Take advantage of this month’s vibrations to cut yourself some slack and indulge in your favorite things – rest, play, laugh, dance. Indulge your creative instincts – write poetry, paint, do crafts, sing, play an instrument. Go to plays, art exhibits, concerts, have a barbecue, play games, roll in the grass and look at the clouds. Let your inner child out for a good romp!

Even if your own life is in the midst of some heavy duty turmoil, taking time off to play, even if only briefly, can have enormous therapeutic benefits, not only for yourself, but for those with whom you live and work. And, if you subscribe, as I do, that your own mood contributes to mass conciousness, your taking the time to nurture your inner child and bring joy to your soul will have an impact on the prevailing universal energies. I’m thinking out loud as I write, but what would it be like if we had regular “joy breaks” mandated for everyone? I think that would definitely help shift the energy on the planet to an extent where our quality of life would be amazingly improved.

Astrologer Kelly Beard made some synchronistic observations in her Cosmic Switchboard audios regarding the Mercury retrograde time period which is fully active from August 3rd to August 26th. She noted that Mercury rules words, music and rhythm with a focus on love, creativity and change from the inside out during this Leo time period. She also pointed out that the “child” energy will be prevalent and can show up two ways:  either as being “childish” (which is the ego pouting when it can’t have its way) or “child-like” which is being centered and connected to your heart and what brings you authentic joy.

She advised that it was a very good time for us to focus on healing any dichotomy between our hearts and our minds. This is essentially saying that the “3” energy which is an energy of love can heal the serious, more mental and potentially egocentric aspects of the “4” and the “8” which, as I mentioned previously, are also part of the month’s numeric influences this month.

CHANGES, CHOICES AND KEEPING THE PEACE

July’s mix of energies is a study in contrasts. If you focus on conducting your life with peace and love in your heart, you will have an easier time transiting the days and experiences of this month.

Our Universal Year Number of Four supports solidarity and the status quo.  July is a Universal Month Number of Two which focuses on choices, changes, and partnership issues.  And, July, the calendar month, is written as “7” which offers us the instruction to rest and regroup, especially in solitude.

So….what’s it to be?  Relax and be in the status quo – or focus on relationships, changes and choices?

It looks like we can take our pick here – and of course, the circumstances in your own life will certainly offer you loud and clear hints about how the month should be spent.

After I thought I had completed this month’s N-Sights, I had my own personal “insight” about the effect of July’s vibration….

Looking at universal energies through numerology gives us one form of clues and insights which offer us, as the energies cycle, opportunities for life lessons both large and small.  Although your own personal life cycles and circumstances are primary influences, the Universal energies are ones which are likely to affect us all.  If we become aware in advance of these energies and their corresponding lessons, we have the opportunity for advance preparation which can make our life easier now and ongoing as we master the lessons.  This is the equivalent of knowing it’s going to rain and taking an umbrella with us.

So, before I continue with my original energy forecast, here is my own personal lesson relevant to July’s energies which I will share with you:

With the best of intentions I sent an empathetic e-mail to a friend, comparing her present challenging situation to one shared by a mutual friend.  Immediately, she sent me a strong rebuke informing me that her circumstances weren’t in any way comparable and that my words and lack of understanding had hurt her deeply.

Here’s what we have here (and this is how my mind works, as I receive information in terms of numbers  --  call it my “talent”, “quirk” or whatever!)

The three major numbers at play in July are 4, 2 and 7….  (I have a lot of Four and Seven energy in my makeup…The other person has a lot of Two energy.)

       Four can be tactless.

      Seven can misunderstand and be misunderstood.

      Two is extremely sensitive and can be hurt easily.
      Two often feels like a victim.
      Two, the number, requires peace, harmony,
                    diplomacy and empathy.

Yes, I apologized and mended the fences.  But, more important, how can you benefit from this incident? 

This month, especially, we are likely to receive the lessons of learning to be sensitive to the feelings of others and to make an effort to keep the peace.  We need to carefully monitor our choice of words and be willing to apologize and make amends if we inadvertently step on someone else’s toes.  We may also find ourselves likely to take offense at someone else’s words and/or actions more than we would do at other times. 

Be alert.  If you find yourself in a state of heightened emotions, ask yourself if you are perhaps over-reacting or have misinterpreted the situation causing your flare-up.  Also, a willingness to apologize and forgive may help you transit the month with more peace and harmony.

This stated, back to my original forecast which contains more hints for mastering the energies of July 2011:

The dominant energy for July 2011 being Two involves us in choices – and sometimes these are difficult to make, often because we can see benefits to all the options before us.

These are five areas that might be considered appropriate to utilize the prevailing number energies of Two, Four and Seven this month, involving relationship and/or family harmony as well as potential contracts and agreements....

 Career  --  form new partnerships and/or change jobs

 Family  --  find ways to create family harmony where

                           differences exist

 Home  --  make changes or buy or sell property

 Health  -  contract resources for your desired outcomes
                           or change your current providers

 Finances – find new resources for financial planning

 Legal -  estate planning is well-timed

Another option (using the “7” energy) is simply to research the changes you would like to make.

This year, 2011, is influenced by the Number Four.  Four wants stability, and it’s more difficult to create major change under this energy, especially if the change you seek is radically different from your current circumstances.    Often economic factors and financial resources are more limited during a Four year, which brings with it the lessons of having all your needs met even in the midst of restricting circumstances.This is especially true if you are transiting a Four Personal Year, have a Four birthday or have Four as one of the major core numbers in your numerology natal chart.

Essentially, then, if you are seeking to reinforce stability and security for yourself and/or your family, you will likely have an easier time of it, and July can help you make progress.  If you are seeking a radical change of direction, you may find the going much easier when 2012 rolls around.  This year, however, is good for planning, saving money and doing whatever other preparation that is required to make your desired lifestyle transition easier when the number energies shift direction.

People who are transiting a Four personal year often are dissatisfied with their life situations and seek change, only to find that, during the Four year, they feel “locked in” and restricted.  The Five year opens the way for them to move forward .

The best advice I can give for July is….

VIP Postscript!!!  The best time for change is between the new moon of July 1st and the full moon of July 15th.  After this time, not only is the moon waning, but --- I know how welcome this news is, but, yes, another Mercury retrograde period is on the way.  It officially begins August 3rd, but the retrograde influence begins accelerating at least two weeks prior to that date.  You are well-advised to make all important choices and changes by mid-July or postpone them until September or later. 

N-Sights for June 2011

STARTING A NEW FOUNDATION

I've welcomed the month of June with much joy and anticipation ever since it marked the end of the school year and the start of three months of leisure-filled days, fragrant with the scent of flowers and grass and filled with lemonade and iced tea, enchanting books, trips to the pool and Lake Michigan along with evenings chasing fireflies.  If you grew up in a temperate climate as I did, you will likely appreciate this memory.  Here in Arizona, where I reside now, June marks the beginning of total ongoing and unrelenting triple-digit heat immersion -- but I still love June.  Its promise of good things ahead still holds true for me.

This year, from a Universal numerology standpoint, June offers us a fertile time for a new beginning.  It's the only month off 2011 that does so, in fact, which makes it extra special and yes, "rare".  Who doesn't love new beginnings and the opportunity to leave the past behind and start anew?

Because we are in a Four Universal Year dealing with structure and security, June becomes an especially appropriate month to begin...

• A new structure (such as a home or the remodeling of one)
• A new business or job
• A new discipline (fitness regimen or diet, for example)
• A new health program or treatment
• A new financial or investment plan
• A new source of income and/or financial security

Bear in mind, this month is a beginning time.  Chances are, you will not see results for a while.  In fact, July will be a much better time to work out the details of whatever ideas are initiated this month.  Depending on the scope of your project or endeavor, the earliest your desired outcome might show up could be October of this year.  As next year, 2012, is a year of major change, things begun now may not be ready to fully manifest and come to fruition until then -- or even later in 2013 or beyond.  (Your own numerology personal number transits offer you more specific information about the timing of the results you seek.)

Generally speaking, the days between the New Moon and the Full Moon are considered best for new beginnings.  In addition, if you are scheduling appointments or signing contracts regarding a new venture, 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM are times that reinforce the energy of initiation.

Now, just to add some "spicy flavoring" to this forecast, I will add that this month astrologers tell us there are two eclipses (a partial solar eclipse on June 1st and a full lunar eclipse on June 15th -- with another partial solar eclipse on July 1st) that can bring about instant and dramatic changes in our lives.  June 21st marks the Summer Solstice (in the Northern Hemisphere) bringing another energy shift into play.

Some of you who are not thinking of making life changes this month may find they are made for you due to external circumstances.  However change may occur this month, welcome it as a gateway allowing you to make dramatic improvement in your life even if you do not immediately see the benefits in front of you.

RELEASE YOUR BURDENS!

The good news for this month…..We have a great opportunity to bid the past adieu and prepare for a new start next month. The big challenge may be in perceiving the blessing of letting go and activating the process.

May 2011 is a Universal Nine Month (endings, completion) in a Universal Four Year (structure).   In addition May is designated numerically as “5” which stands for “change”.   Thus we are being instructed to release our past and shift the foundations of our lives.

Our Four Universal Year has to do with structure and limitations. For a lot of us, May can signal an end to restrictions. To do this, however, will likely mean confronting and coming to terms with the lessons of the past. As Nine brings with it both tests and blessings, your assignment is to love and release any challenges that come your way.

Each one of you is in your own Personal Year and on your own chosen path of experience. However, these are some of the occurrences which may arrive for some of us who are transiting the Nine Universal energies this month:

     
     End of a job or business

     Reverse of secure financial flow and resources

     Necessity of leaving a home

     Accidents and health challenges

I realize that all of these sound ominous and not what we would consciously request for ourselves and others.   What all of the above can do – for those who open their minds to the possibilities – is free us up to begin a new life cycle, a new structure, a new beginning.

 

WE HAVE A PORTAL OF OPPORTUNITY TO GO FORWARD TO A BETTER LIFE.



Even if we are desiring to initiate change in our lives, we can still find it stressful. Sometimes, it seems easier to stay where we are because our lives have a familiarity even if the details are not ones we find fulfilling and joyful.  Sometimes we are severely stressed at the thought of moving on simply because we can’t envision our lives becoming better or even know what changes we should make.   It has often been pointed out that people who were enslaved in the past had difficulty dealing with their freedom because they had no frame of reference to what being “free” really meant.

 

SOME TIPS ON GOING FORWARD WITH GRACE AND EASE….

Welcome Change

One of the most helpful pieces of information to cross my path recently was Tom Kenyon’s latest channeled Hathor Planetary Message. Included in the article was confirmation of what we essentially already know:  The Earth has entered a “Chaotic Node” which increases the levels of natural earth upheavals and aberrant weather patterns along with economic, social and political turmoil.

When we experience major changes that we have not instigated or desired (either individually -- or collectively through tsunamis, tornados, the ravages of war or the like), we are placed in what the Hathors termed “transitional states of consciousness”. We find ourselves in a void where all the perceptual markers that helped us make sense of our world have disappeared; yet our new reality is not yet fully formed.


 

Although a natural tendency for anyone in this situation can be panic and trauma, the advice given is to befriend the void point and become comfortable with the great uncertainty that exists. The next bit of advice is “be curious and expect miracles”. This will release your power of creativity which allows you to move forward in a state of consciousness from which can evolve many incidents of serendipity and benefits.  I found this a fascinating article. Say Goodbye



This is an ideal time to do some serious housecleaning, going through your possessions and selling, recycling, or giving away everything that you do not absolutely love or find in some way of value in your life. By getting rid of the old and leaving empty spaces, you leave room for new things to enter. The same can be said for an unfulfilling job, a business that is not productive or a living arrangement that is either too costly or which drains your energy in some way.

 

Help Others



Offering others our assistance can always be gratifying, both for us and for the recipients. As Nine is the number of benevolence, philanthropy, love and good will, it is especially appropriate to give from our hearts to people and causes we believe in this month.  Feng Shui consultant, Marina Lighthouse, periodically does good deed ritutals for 27 days and records them in her blog which you can access here. Notice that the deeds do not have to be huge or costly. – Simple random acts of kindness, often to strangers, can have an impact in the Universe much beyond what we might anticipate.

 

Be Grateful



Consciously maintaining an ongoing state of gratitude automatically enhances our lives in a way that can make discomforts and annoyances fade into the background.

 

May any trials this month be more than offset by amazing blessings and miracles that arrive at your doorstep. See you in June when we encounter that new doorway of opportunity and a month of new beginnings!

N-Sights for April 2011

STRENGTH AND FORTITUDE: WHEN PUSH COMES TO SHOVE

When push comes to shove, what do we do? That’s a dilemma this month’s universal number energies places in front of us.  Stay positive and keep reading for some ideas to successfully stay right-side up and functioning in the midst of some of the strong energies we will be transiting this April.

April 2011 is a Universal Eight month in a Universal Four year. In addition, April is the fourth month of our calendar year. And during most of April, the ruling sun sign is Aries, the god of war. Also, forgive me for reminding you again – but Mercury is retrograde until April 23 with the shadow in effect through the last week of the month.   

 

Let examine first the symbolism of the number Eight and the number Four:

 

The number Eight is considered a number of power and mastery. It is often associated with money, finance and large corporations. Tarot cards often refer to the card with the number Eight as “Strength”.  Eight has a very labor-intensive quality to it. It demands the very best effort from all who encounter it. Eight is also a number of “balance”.  Note that it is a symmetrical number of two circles, one on top of another. Traditionally, we can refer to the top circle as “heaven” and the bottom circle as “earth”. Eight represents personal power as well as material supply. It is said that for us to manifest wealth on an ongoing basis, we must be connected to “heaven” and have an appreciation for Spirit as the Source of all good. If we ignore the spiritual aspect of our power and wealth, we are more vulnerable to having it disappear.

Pictured above is the Eighth Major Arcana card from the Universal Waite tarot deck.  Notice the balance this card portrays.  The woman has gained courage and strength by taming the bestial lion.  The lion (representing male energy) gains courage and strength by allowing himself to be tamed.  Notice the infitnity sign (the Eight on its side) over the woman's head.

Eight is considered an “all or nothing” number. When transiting Eight, it is more likely that one hits the jackpot or ends up losing one’s fortune. On its side it is the infinity symbol, showing that all is in eternal ebb and flow – what is lost is gained;  what is gained is lost. There is balance and justice in all things.

The number Four represents structure and financial security. It is often symbolized by a “square”. Inside its boundaries we are safe – but are we also “boxed in” or “restricted”? In doing numerology interpretation Four can represent hard work and discipline -- engineers, executives and administrators -- and industries such as investment, banking, insurance, accounting and construction. Four requires precision, and there’s no room for error.

 

Both Eight and Four represent not only strength, security and fortitude, but also, resistance to change and downright unyielding stubbornness. (That’s the “when push comes to shove” potential when Eight’s and Four’s confront each other.) Depending on the context, these numbers can be your friends or your enemies. If Eight and/or Four are strong in your numerology chart, chances are I just described some of your characteristics. (My birthday is 8-4, so you can see I’m also referring to myself. Yes, I’ve been accused of inflexibility!)

So having covered the basic numeric meanings of Eight and Four, let’s examine more closely these strong numeric and astrological energies in play for April. How they will manifest in our lives? On a collective basis, I can only conjecture, as we all are creating our reality with each moment of existence. However, based on my study of numbers, it does appear that we are likely to have some economic news this month – good or bad is for us to judge – but it could very well have to do with large corporations, investment firms and banking. If this sounds like déjà vu – perhaps it is, as often when Mercury is retrograde, what is past returns to be corrected. There could very well be some new financial “scandals” coming to light. Or – there could be news regarding currency revaluations or inflation or deflation. When Eight and Four appear together, money issues are part of the equation.

We can also look at our Eighth Universal Month during April (which we write as "4") during a Four Universal Year as a message to master our resources which, among other things, we can relate to the issues with containing the radiation contamination in Japan which certainly has potential repercussions for all of us on the planet.

My own concern, and my reason for writing this forecast is not to be “right” as a prophet or to scare you with potential fear-inducing scenarios, but to offer insights that can help each one of you individually to understand some prevailing energies that you can use to live without the shadow of fear and make positive changes in your lives on an ongoing basis regardless of what is going on with the world, the economy, the planets or the numbers.

Here are some of my recommendations to help you get through the possible turbulence of April 2011.

 

 

With the number Eight accompanied by Fours, there's just no way that money and finances can avoid being integral factors in this month’s events. For you, as an individual, it can be an excellent time to survey your financial circumstances and what you choose to improve or change. Planning strategy is good, but it’s not a time to act. The summer months beginning in June will usher in what can be a fortuitous time for changes. If you have Eight and/or Four strong in your numerology chart, this guidance will be especially applicable to you.

 

And – if you waited to file your income taxes this month, check carefully for the possibility of mechanical errors or information erroneously omitted.

If estate matters and/or litigation are presently part of your life, you may experience a settlement or resolution. The number Eight supports justice.  Again, check all details and make sure that there are no accidental omissions and/or errors.

 

As Eight and Four are numbers that reflect hard work and discipline, the prevailing mood of this month is more serious and labor-intensive.  On the other hand, Eight and Four are numbers of strength and stability, which can be qualities that are a boon to all of us.

Remember when I began this forecast with “when push comes to shove” and said I’d offer a solution? If we find ourselves at some sort of impasse or “pushed against the wall”, the solution is to be flexible, speak up and create change!  In fact, we may well have more incidents of what is already happening: groups of people in this country, the Middle East and elsewhere protesting government oppression and/or current economic conditions and demanding reforms.

You may have previously encountered this quotation from the Chinese philosopher, Lao Tzu:

Water is fluid, soft and yielding,

But water will wear away rock,

which is rigid and cannot yield.

As a rule, whatever is fluid, soft and yielding

will overcome whatever is rigid and hard.

This is another paradox.

What is soft is strong."

Anyone who ever doubted the power of water has only to think of the recent tsunami in Japan to realize the truth of Lao Tzu’s observation.

 

 

Angel communicator and author, Doreen Virtue, on her 4AngelTherapy YouTube channel weekly forecast also voiced her belief that the energies of this coming month will be especially strong.
